Agentic AI recruiting means the software does more than answer a query. It takes a goal, plans how to reach it, uses tools, and checks its own work. In candidate search, that turns one keyword box into a researcher that works through your resume database step by step and reports back with evidence.

What the agent actually does

A normal search runs your keywords once and returns whatever ranks. An agent starts by planning: it reads your request, extracts must-haves and nice-to-haves, and picks a strategy. Then it executes: it runs searches, opens the strongest CVs, and reads them. Finally it verifies: a candidate is only marked as an exact match when there is evidence in the CV to back it, quoted verbatim. Near matches come back too, each with a one-line note on what the gap is.

The agent works in a loop: plan, search, read, verify.

Why evidence matters

The failure mode of AI search is a confident list with no reasons. Cited evidence changes how you work with results. When a match includes the exact line from the resume that supports it, you can trust the shortlist without rereading every CV, and when a near match names its gap, you know exactly what to probe in the interview. Rankings without reasons put the reading back on you.

Bounded, visible work

A useful agent is also a predictable one. Our agent search caps its steps and the number of CVs it reads per run, and it streams a live trace while it works, so you can see what it searched and what it read. Recruiters watch it work instead of staring at a spinner.

Where this fits for agencies

  • Your placed and pooled candidates become a searchable asset instead of dead files.
  • New mandates start with a search of the database you already own.
  • Saved searches keep recurring mandates one click away.
  • No per-seat fees means the whole desk can use it.

If your agency has years of CVs sitting in folders, agentic search is how they start earning their keep. The agentic resume search page lists what is included on each plan.
