What does Willo offer?
Willo describes itself as intelligent candidate screening software: candidates record answers to structured questions, and the hiring team reviews them. It sells two plans. Willo Lite is pay as you go with no contract, at 59 dollars per live role a month in US dollars, for up to 5 live roles, 150 assessed candidates per live role and up to 5 users. Willo Enterprise is for teams that screen at volume, from 3,799 dollars a year on a 1, 2 or 3 year term, with ATS integrations, single sign-on and a customer success manager.
Its pricing page lists email and SMS invites, 18 or more languages, custom scorecards and an assessment library on both plans. Willo Intelligence adds transcription, summaries and follow-up questions, and identity, right to work and background checks are add-ons.
Why do teams look for a Willo alternative?
- Per-role pricing. Lite charges per live role, so a recruiter with many roles open at once pays more than on a flat plan.
- Role and candidate limits. Lite covers up to 5 live roles and 150 assessed candidates per role.
- Annual terms. Enterprise is sold on 1, 2 or 3 year terms, which some small teams want to avoid.
- Format. Willo screens with recorded answers. Some teams want a spoken two-way interview that asks follow-ups in real time.
None of these makes Willo a poor choice. For a team hiring into a few roles a month, a no-contract price per role can be the cheapest way to run one-way screening.

These are list prices for one month of 100 candidates, read from each pricing page on 27 October 2026. The formats differ: a one-way video interview is a recorded answer to set questions, and a two-way AI interview is a spoken conversation with follow-up questions. Taxes, overage and annual terms change the total, so ask each vendor for a written quote at your volume.
One-way video or a two-way AI interview?
A one-way video interview sends candidates set questions, and they record their answers on their own time. A person then watches the recordings, sometimes with an AI summary or transcript to speed that up. A two-way AI interview is a spoken conversation: the AI asks a question, listens, and asks a follow-up based on what the candidate said, then writes a scored report. One-way video moves the scheduling problem off the recruiter. A two-way AI interview also takes the first-round conversation itself off the recruiter.
Neither is right for every role. If your hiring managers want to see each candidate on camera, one-way video keeps that habit. If the bottleneck is the number of first-round calls, a two-way AI interview removes the calls. Our guide to AI interviews versus one-way video goes further, and the vendor comparison guide lists the questions to ask either kind of vendor.
What does each alternative fit best?
Hireflix fits small companies that want one-way video with no cap on seats, positions or responses, at a yearly price. Spark Hire fits teams that want video interviews next to an applicant tracking system and assessments from the same vendor. Truffle fits teams that want resume screening, assessments and one-way video from one credit pool, with unused credits rolling over on its Core plan. Interviewer.ai fits teams that want one-way video now and conversational AI avatar interviews on its Professional plan.
Where does AI Interview Agents fit?
AI Interview Agents runs a spoken, two-way first-round interview in the candidate's browser, with no app install. Questions are built from your job description, the interviewer asks follow-ups based on what the candidate said, and the hiring team gets a transcript, a scored report with written reasoning, and a recording when one is available. Interviews run in 75 languages, including English, Spanish, Hindi and Arabic, and invitations go out by email or WhatsApp. A person makes every hiring decision. The sample report shows what you receive.
There is a free plan with 10 interview credits a month. Pro is 99 dollars a month, billed monthly until you cancel, with 200 interview credits, 5 recruiter seats and 30 roles. A 15 minute interview is 1 credit, an interview under 2 minutes costs nothing, and there is no annual contract or setup fee. See the pricing page.
How should you choose?
- Write down your monthly candidate volume, the number of roles open at once, and the languages your candidates speak.
- Decide if the first round should be a recorded video, a spoken two-way interview, or a mix of the two.
- Price each option at your real volume, including any annual term, seat limit or credit rule.
- Ask each vendor for a sample of what the hiring team receives for one candidate.
- Run one real role through your two closest options and compare the shortlists they produce.
