What are answer clips in AI interviews?
Aug 18, 2026 · 2 min read
An AI interview produces a scored report, a transcript, and a full video recording. The recording is the richest part and the least used, because nobody has time to watch fifteen minutes per candidate. Answer clips fix that. They are short, captioned excerpts of the candidate's best answers, cut automatically from the recording.
How clips are chosen
After the interview, the audio is transcribed with word-level timestamps. The system then selects the strongest moments, up to two per interview, and checks its own selection before rendering. Each clip is at most 50 seconds, captioned, and framed vertically so it is easy to review anywhere. Some interviews produce no clip at all, and that is by design. A clip is only cut when there is a moment worth watching.
What clips change for the recruiter
- A shortlist review takes minutes because you watch the best moments instead of full sessions.
- Hiring managers see the candidate themselves instead of reading a summary.
- The clip sits next to the score, so the evidence and the number stay together.
- The full recording and transcript remain one click away.
Where clips show up
For the recruiter, clips appear alongside the scored report, so the strongest evidence sits next to the number it supports. When you share a report with a hiring manager, they can watch the candidate answer the hardest question before they read a single line of the summary. That order matters. A hiring manager who has seen the candidate speak trusts the score more, and pushes back on it with better questions when they disagree.
What candidates get
Candidates can rewatch their own interview in their portal, which keeps the process transparent. The same recording that powers the recruiter report powers the candidate's own review. Nothing is shown to the recruiter that the candidate cannot see about themselves.
Answer clips are included in every plan, alongside the scored report and full transcript. The pricing page shows what each plan includes.
